Situated in Metropolitan Taipei, the Taipei
International Airport is the hub of domestic air transportation.
As a result of the economic slowdown, the aviation market has become
depressed. Consequently, the number of passengers has dropped by
close to10 percent in recent years. Nevertheless, this Airport continues
to draw on its past excellence to keep on improving the various
hard and software facilities to hopefully achieve entrepreneurship
in management, operation systemization, enhanced communication and
customer satisfaction toward the goal of quality service to the
customer. In the future, this Airport will actively coordinate with
various country and municipal governments and public benefit organizations
to sponsor, on the Airport premises, activities relating to indigenous
folk arts, tourism promotion and benefit campaigns to make this
Airport not only a facility for passenger comfort and convenience,
but also a center of significant activities for the people of Taipei.
